After riding for a while, it is essential to inspect and adjust various components of the bicycle.

  1. Lubricate the moving parts (bearings, freewheels, etc.) regularly with an appropriate lubricant to ensure smooth rotation.

  2. If the bicycle gets wet in the rain or damp conditions, promptly wipe the electroplated parts clean and apply a layer of neutral oil to prevent rust.

  3. Avoid applying oil to painted parts to prevent damage to the paint film and preserve its luster.

  4. Bicycle tires and brake rubbers are made of rubber and should be kept away from oil-based products such as motor oil and kerosene to prevent rubber aging. Newly installed tires should be inflated to the recommended pressure, while regular tire inflation should be appropriate, as insufficient pressure can lead to tire cracking, and excessive pressure can damage the tires and components.

  5. Ensure the bicycle carries a moderate load. The typical weight limit for regular bicycles is usually around 120 kilograms, and for heavy-duty bicycles, it is generally around 170 kilograms. As the front wheel is designed to bear only 40% of the total weight, avoid hanging heavy loads on the front fork.

  6. Maintain an appropriate cycling speed, avoid sudden acceleration, and slow down when encountering uneven road surfaces.

  7. When not in use, store the bicycle in a dry and well-ventilated area to prevent rusting.
