The answer is six days a week, with 45 to 60 minutes each day. This may sound daunting, but this amount of exercise is necessary because the signals of decline within our bodies are constantly active day and night. After the age of 40, we lose 10% of our muscle mass and bone density every decade, as well as coordination and balance. Surprisingly, we can reverse 70% of bodily decline by simply engaging in 45 to 60 minutes of exercise six days a week. Why does such a small amount of exercise have such a significant effect? It's because when you truly exercise, your body generates a series of growth signals. These signals create an environment of growth that lasts for several hours. This is the atmosphere you need. Interestingly, more exercise is not necessarily better, and even one hour of exercise can bring you many benefits. Harry and I both believe that hiking or cycling for a day each week is great, but overall, 45 to 60 minutes of exercise per day is sufficient. Moreover, achieving this exercise level is easier and more enjoyable than you might think.
