Morning Vitality yoga: Fish Pose

This pose helps to relieve tension and stiffness in the neck, strengthens and enhances the flexibility of neck muscles, balances the thyroid and parathyroid glands, improves metabolism, stimulates blood circulation in the head, strengthens the lower back, shapes a graceful back curve, improves menstrual irregularities, regulates internal organs, and enhances sleep quality.

1. Lie on your back, legs extended, and arms clasped

● Lie on your back on the Yoga Mat, legs extended and together, clasp your hands into fists, support your body with your elbows, and tighten your arms around your body.

2. Lift the upper body with elbows and touch the top of the head to the ground

● Use your elbows to lift the upper body, arching the lower back upward. Lift your chin and touch the top of your head to the ground, expanding your chest. Your buttocks should be almost on the yoga mat, shoulders relaxed, and avoid shrugging. Relax your legs and keep them close to the ground.

3. Clasp hands together in front of the body, legs extended

● Clasp your hands together in front of your abdomen, relax your shoulders, extend your legs, and flex your toes. Stay in this position for 2 minutes.

4. Stretch both arms towards the top of the head

● Maintain the clasped hands and stretch them upwards towards the top of the head while maintaining smooth breathing. Return the elbows to the sides of the body and revert to a lying position.
